Campfire Potatoes Ingredients
1 1/2 tsp. finely chopped fresh oregano, or 1/2 tsp. dried
1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cumin
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. chili powder
2 tsp. garlic powder
4 large potatoes
4 oz (115 g) cheddar cheese
How To Make Campfire Potatoes
Campfire Potatoes Recipe Directions:
Wash potatoes, wipe dry and rub with oil.
Prick potatoes all over with fork. In a small bowl, mix chili powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, cumin, and oregano. Roll potatoes in spice mixture and coat evenly. Wrap each potato in aluminum foil.
Roast in hot coal for about 1 hour or until tender. Remove foil and slit potatoes in half. Place a piece of cheese on one half of each potato, cover with top half and rewrap with foil. Serve hot at once.
